Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen has announced that long-time Noblesville business owners Stephen and Moffett Craig will serve as the grand marshals of the Holiday in Lights Parade. The 2024 Holiday in Lights Parade, Sponsored by Hare Chevrolet and your Central Indiana Chevy Dealers, begins at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.

“Over the years, the Craigs have supported the public through their business and countless hours of community service,” Jensen said. “I’m excited to recognize Stephen and Moffett for all of the things they’ve done during their lifetime and wish them the best as they approach the next chapter in their lives.”

“We were shocked and elated when asked to be grand marshals. We couldn’t ask for anything better as the beginning of our retirement,” Stephen Craig said.

The Craigs, owners of Adrienes Flowers & Gifts in Noblesville, are retiring at the end of the year. The downtown business has been in Moffett’s family for 45 years.

“It’s the right time,” Stephen Craig said. “We’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring from Noblesville to our announcement. It’s been special and we look forward to being grand marshals this year.”

In addition to the Craigs and 50+ participating groups, Santa Claus will be joining the parade as the last entry. To encourage the holiday spirit, the Holiday in Lights Parade includes awards for the best holiday-themed entry, best use of lights, and most hometown-inspired. Parade registration is open until Monday, December 2. Entry forms can be completed online at www.cityofnoblesville.org/parade.

The parade route will start at 16th and Harrison streets and travel south on 16th Street to Logan Street, the parade will head north on Ninth Street, before turning east on Harrison and ending back at 16th Street. The Hamilton County Emergency Management Agency will assist the city by providing additional portable lights to better illuminate the roadway and sidewalks along the route.

"The public turnout for the inaugural Holiday in Lights Parade last year was amazing. The nighttime parade through historic downtown is breathtaking with all of storefronts, Courthouse Square, and homes decorated and lit up for the holidays. It's a magical experience for parade goers and participants," Jensen said. “Along with the Friday events, it’s going to be a very festive weekend in Noblesville and a great way to kick off the holiday season.”
