The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) - Hannibal Street project calls for the rehabilitation of Hannibal Street, between S. 10th Street and S. 14th Street. This project is being funded by a federal grant that is being coordinated by Hamilton County Commissioners. The project development and construction is being managed by the Department of Engineering. The work scope is for the complete replacement of all curbs, sidewalks, as well as street resurfacing.

Hannibal Street will face temporary parking restrictions during the project. The project is anticipated to start by mid-to-late October, but is dependent on the release of the federal funds. The concrete and asphalt work were both completed ahead of schedule, finishing November 22, 2005.
