With Phase I of this project to be completed in early 2006, the design contract for Phase II was awarded to Floyd E. Burroughs and Associates in December 2005. The scope of the project is the extend Pleasant Street as a four lane commercial roadway approximately one-quarter of a mile and construct two cul-de-sacs off of the extended Pleasant Street. Sanitary sewer will also be extended the length of the project. The project is being funded as part of the local TIF district and continues the development of the roadway infrastructure as detailed on the Thoroughfare Plan.
